In November 2024, I worked with Tioga Arts Council (TAC) in Owego, New York for my exhibition, Everyone Else Around Me: An Exhibition. It opened on First Friday, November 1, 2024 and ran until November 30 in TAC’s Main Gallery.  

Everyone Else Around Me: An Exhibition is a collection of 28 photographs from the past six years, and taken in various cities across New York, Oklahoma, Virginia, and Maryland. They are some of the most important photos to me in my career thus far. There is a diverse mix of genres and show sizes throughout the gallery, ranging from a small DIY show in a basement to a full arena sized tour with production and pyro.

All of the frames in the gallery were hand picked and thrifted at various shops in the area. Cleaned and painted white, they are all different, and with imperfections. Some more noticeable than others. And, that is the beauty behind it. It is a strong representation of DIY culture where you do a project yourself by either reusing, recycling, and/or creating simply with what you have in front of you at that time. This is something I have always been inspired and motivated by.

I hope these images will give viewers a deeper appreciation for the music world around them. Believe it or not, I wrote my artist statement while sitting in the back of a van in the middle of North Carolina on the way home from a festival in Florida. 

I hope to consistently document the music in the area through unique compositions and both black and white and color images.
